Isabel, a sweet and noble woman, lives with her conniving older sister, Clara. Clara, jealous of Isabel's fiance who is the only eligible bachelor left in town, will stop at nothing to win his affection. As a result of her deceitful ways and Isabel's illness, circumstances lead Isabel to bless the marriage between Clara and Leandro! Isabel survives her illness and moves to Mexico City where she soon learns she is pregnant with Leandro's child. Isabel gives birth to a beautiful baby girl she calls Ana, but destiny will soon separate them. Ana returns to the plantation without any knowledge of who her real parents are. There she will meet Fabiola, (Clara's heiress), and Rodrigo, the son of a rich neighboring plantation owner. Over 20 years pass and Fabiola is now engaged to marry Rodrigo. When Ana appears on the scene it appears that history is about to repeat itself.
