Overview: She is Luciana Garces, a young, modern and cheerful woman who is nevertheless a strong and firm character. She manages her father Pedro's car repair shop. Esperanza, her mother, is a homemaker. Her brother Diego works in a factory where he confronts Nicolas, the story's leading male character. Her other brother is Paolo, a budding gigolo and university student, full of ambition and an unrepentant daydreamer. The Garces family lives in perfect harmony until a tragic accident befalls Don Pedro. A car he was repairing falls on him and breaks his legs, confining him to a wheelchair. Diego, Luciana's eldest brother, is about to get fired. Paolo's conflictive life and ambitions bring him close to Claudia Egusquiza, a devious character that will not only turn him against his own family but also was behind the accident that set Don Pedro's car repair business adrift and jeopardized the family's only source of sustenance.
